Portsmouth/Newburyport Coastal Wine Meetup Group Assumes New Leadership

Amazing things begin to happen when you commit yourself to your passions. Case in point, since recently re-engaging as Portsmouth WineExaminer and launching VinoGirl, it seems like everything is coming up wine. Like the universe is saying, "YES!" in response to my own leap of "yes" faith.

The most recent "YES" I've received from the universe was an email that said this:

Your Meetup Group will shut down soon!

Your Organizer just stepped down without nominating a replacement. Without an Organizer, Portsmouth, NH & Newburyport, MA Coastal Wine Group will shut down on February 11, 2016.

Step up to become this Meetup Group's Organizer and you can guide its future direction!

Quite honestly, this was a Meetup group I had forgotten joining and with which I had never gotten fully engaged. But here it was - my chance to step up and breathe new life into it; a chance to connect with other local wine lovers to do what I love most - share wine experiences! How could I NOT jump all over it?

So, fellow wine lovers, I am proud to announce that I have now officially assumed leadership of the Portsmouth, NH & Newburyport, MA Coastal Wine Group. We currently have 114 members, and I would love to see that membership grow in both depth and breadth. I am in the process of collecting some great wine events for this group to attend together (including monthly wine tastings sponsored by VinoGirl) and developing strategies to regularly engage members. If you're interested in joining us, sign-up only takes a minute and is easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Visit http://www.meetup.com/

  2. If you haven't already, create a Meetup Profile for yourself

  3. Search for "Portsmouth, NH & Newburyport, MA Coastal Wine Group" and request to join

We'd love to have you as a member of our Meetup Group, and I hope you'll stay tuned as this "YES" journey in the world of wine unfolds!

When she's not doing wine things, Jen keeps her tank full with coffee and craft beer, works in Portsmouth as a full-time project manager, is a mobile DJ, and loves hanging out with her fiancée and their two crazy pugs.
